Ultimate Refreshing Acai Bowl

A super simple and delicious acai bowl recipe that’s perfect for a healthy breakfast or a refreshing snack. Packed with antioxidants, customizable with your favorite toppings.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 (100g each) unsweetened frozen acai puree packets
1 large frozen banana, chopped
1/2 cup mixed frozen berries (e.g., blueberries, raspberries)
1/4 to 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or coconut water, apple juice)
Optional toppings: granola, fresh berries, banana slices, shredded coconut, chia seeds, honey/maple syrup

Instructions

Step 1: In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen acai puree packets (break them up if solid), chopped frozen banana, and mixed frozen berries.
Step 2: Add 1/4 cup of the unsweetened almond milk to the blender. Start with less liquid, as you can always add more.
Step 3: Blend on high, using the tamper to push the frozen ingredients down towards the blades. If your blender struggles, add more liquid, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture starts to blend smoothly.
Step 4: Continue blending until the mixture is thick, smooth, and has the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. This may take 1-2 minutes and require stopping and scraping down the sides.
Step 5: Once smooth and thick, spoon the acai bowl mixture into two bowls.
Step 6: Arrange your desired toppings over each acai bowl. Popular choices include fresh fruits (banana slices, berries), granola, shredded coconut, chia seeds, and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
Step 7: Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious homemade acai bowl!

Notes

For a thicker consistency, use less liquid and a high-powered blender with a tamper. For a slightly thinner bowl, add a bit more liquid. Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup to taste. You can prep frozen fruit portions in advance for even quicker assembly.
