Ingredients
1 medium baguette or half an Italian loaf
1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
3–4 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tbsp)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Slice the bread: Slice the baguette or loaf into 1-inch thick slices. You should get about 8-10 slices depending on the size of your loaf.
Step 2: Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined and creamy.
Step 3: Spread the butter: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over one side of each bread slice, ensuring good coverage to the edges.
Step 4: Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes. This helps ensure even cooking and immediate crisping.
Step 5: Air fry the garlic bread: Place the buttered bread slices in a single layer in your air fryer basket or on the tray, butter-side up. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
Step 6: Cook until golden: Air fry for 4-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy, and the butter is bubbling. Cooking times can vary based on your air fryer model, so keep an eye on it. If adding cheese, sprinkle it on during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
Step 7: Serve immediately: Carefully remove the garlic bread from the air fryer and serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra cheesy garlic bread, sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese over each slice during the last 2-3 minutes of air frying. Adjust garlic and salt to taste.
