Ingredients
1 lb 93% lean ground turkey
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Step 2: Gently mix the ingredients with your hands until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat to ensure the air fryer turkey burgers stay tender.
Step 3: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty with your thumb.
Step 4: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Step 5: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place the patties in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
Step 6: Cook the air fryer turkey burgers at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Step 7: Remove the burgers from the air fryer and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, add 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese to the meat mixture. Ensure you don’t crowd the air fryer basket for the best results.
