Ingredients
1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Wash the asparagus stalks and pat them thoroughly dry with a paper towel to ensure they get crispy.
Step 2: Trim the woody ends off the asparagus, about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
Step 3: In a large bowl or on a plate, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
Step 4: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Step 5: Place the seasoned asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not stacked.
Step 6: Cook for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
Step 7: Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon or a sprinkle of Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Ensure the asparagus is completely dry before oiling to get the best crunch. Adjust cook time for very thick or very thin stalks.
