Ingredients
4 (6 oz / 170g) salmon fillets, skin on or off
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (or olive oil for dairy-free)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lemon, zested and juiced
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Step 2: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning adhere better.
Step 3: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter (or olive oil), minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped fresh dill, salt, and black pepper. Whisk well to combine.
Step 4: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the lemon-dill mixture evenly over each fillet, ensuring they are well coated.
Step 5: Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Cooking time will vary based on the thickness of your fillets.
Step 6: Remove from the oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh dill and lemon wedges if desired.
