Ingredients
4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
Step 2: Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, then season evenly with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Step 4: While the salmon is baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 5: Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest until the sauce is smooth and emulsified.
Step 6: Once the salmon is out of the oven, drizzle the lemon butter sauce generously over each fillet and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Ensure you do not overcook the salmon to maintain its moisture. The internal temperature should be 145°F.
