Baked Bang Bang Salmon fillets drizzled with sauce and fresh cilantro, served on a white plate with rice and green beans.

Bang Bang Salmon (Easy & Irresistible)

An incredibly easy and utterly irresistible recipe for baked salmon coated in a creamy, spicy, and sweet Bang Bang sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner that feels gourmet.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

4 (6 oz / 170g) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise (full-fat recommended)
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
1–2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
Fresh cilantro or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
Step 2: Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels. Season both sides of the salmon with salt and black pepper.
Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha until well combined and smooth. Taste and adjust the spice level to your liking.
Step 4: Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Generously coat the top and sides of each salmon fillet with about half of the prepared bang bang sauce. Reserve the rest for serving.
Step 5: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-18 minutes, or until it’s cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. For a beautiful caramelized crust, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully.
Step 6: While the salmon cooks, prepare your desired side dishes, such as rice or roasted vegetables.
Step 7: Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Step 8: Drizzle the remaining bang bang sauce over the cooked salmon and garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or green onions. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh, high-quality salmon. Adjust the sriracha to your preferred level of spice. This dish is excellent for meal prep and reheats well.
