Ingredients
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon minced garlic (about 3–4 cloves)
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
Step 1: In a small shallow bowl or appetizer plate, combine the dried parsley, basil, rosemary, and oregano.
Step 2: Add the freshly minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the herb mixture.
Step 3: Use a small spoon or fork to stir the dry ingredients and garlic together, pressing down slightly to help the garlic release its juices.
Step 4: Slowly pour the extra virgin olive oil over the herb mixture.
Step 5: Let the oil sit for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to infuse properly.
Step 6: Serve with warm, crusty Italian bread or sourdough.
Notes
For the best flavor, use the highest quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil you can find. If making ahead, store the dry herb mix separately from the oil.
