Delicious Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bombs baked golden brown with marinara dip.

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bombs

These bite-sized delights combine gooey mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and Italian seasoning, all baked into a golden pizza dough for the ultimate easy snack or appetizer.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12-16 pizza bombs 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade pizza dough)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup sliced pepperoni
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
1/4 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Step 2: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Step 3: Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into approximately 2-inch squares. You should get about 12-16 squares, depending on the size.
Step 4: Place a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese (about 1 tablespoon) and a few slices of pepperoni (about 2-3 slices) in the center of each dough square. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning on top.
Step 5: Carefully fold the corners of each dough square towards the center, pinching firmly to seal all edges. Make sure there are no openings for the cheese to escape during baking.
Step 6: Place the sealed pizza bombs seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet, ensuring there’s a little space between each one.
Step 7: Brush the tops of the pizza bombs with olive oil. This will help them achieve a beautiful golden-brown color and a slightly crispy crust.
Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pizza bombs are golden brown and cooked through.
Step 9: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil for an extra flourish.
Step 10: Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy your delicious homemade pizza bombs!

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling! These are also great with other fillings like diced bell peppers or olives.
