Ingredients
1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Optional: Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Season the chicken pieces generously with salt and black pepper on all sides.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and sear until golden brown and cooked through (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Step 3: Reduce heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Step 4: Pour in the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir well to coat the chicken and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
Step 5: Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens into a glossy glaze that coats the chicken.
Step 6: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired, and serve immediately over rice or vegetables.
Notes
Ensure the pan is hot before adding chicken for the best sear. Use low-sodium soy sauce to control the saltiness.
