Ingredients
1 cup Unsalted Butter (half browned, half softened)
3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Dark Brown Sugar, packed
2 Large Eggs, room temperature
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Cornstarch
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1 1/2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup Bittersweet Chocolate, chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Brown half of the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until it smells nutty and shows golden-brown bits, then let it cool slightly.
Step 2: In a large bowl, cream the browned butter, softened butter, white sugar, and dark brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Beat in the room-temperature eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring a smooth emulsion for your Chocolate chip cookie recipe dough.
Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing only until just combined to keep the Chocolate chip cookie recipe tender.
Step 6: Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped chocolate chunks by hand.
Step 7: Scoop the dough into balls and place them in an airtight container to chill in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
Step 8: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the chilled dough balls on a parchment-lined sheet for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
Notes
Always use room temperature eggs to prevent the dough from seizing.
