Ingredients
16 oz cream cheese, softened
16 oz sour cream
1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup green onions, sliced
Optional: Crackers, chips, or vegetables for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Begin your Crack dip recipe by placing the softened cream cheese and sour cream in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2: Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spatula to blend the cream cheese and sour cream until the mixture is completely smooth and free of lumps.
Step 3: Add the dry ranch seasoning packet to the bowl. Mix thoroughly to ensure the seasoning is distributed evenly throughout the Crack dip recipe base.
Step 4: Fold in the crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions. Reserve a tablespoon of each for garnish if desired.
Step 5: Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl.
Step 6: Cover the Crack dip recipe with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to develop.
Step 7: Before serving the Crack dip recipe, sprinkle the reserved bacon, cheese, and onions on top for a beautiful presentation.
Step 8: Serve your finished Crack dip recipe with your favorite chips, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For the best texture, always grate your cheese fresh from the block. For a spicy version, add 1 tablespoon of canned diced jalapeños.
