Ingredients
2 racks Baby Back Pork Ribs (about 3–4 lbs)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons smoked paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup high-quality BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C) and line a large baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
Step 2: Remove the thin membrane (silverskin) from the back of the ribs by lifting it with a knife and pulling it off with a paper towel.
Step 3: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the rub for your Fall Off the Bone Oven Baked BBQ Ribs.
Step 4: Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub, pressing it into the meat.
Step 5: Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil, ensuring the seam is on top to prevent leaks, and place them on the baking sheet.
Step 6: Bake the Fall Off the Bone Oven Baked BBQ Ribs for 3.5 to 4 hours, or until the meat is very tender and begins to pull away from the bone.
Step 7: Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully open the foil. Brush the top of the ribs with a thick layer of BBQ sauce.
Step 8: Broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and slightly caramelized, then let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the seasoned ribs sit in the refrigerator for 2 hours before baking.
