Ingredients
4 oz Blanco Tequila (100% Agave)
2 oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
1.5 oz Agave nectar or simple syrup
1 oz Orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
3 cups of ice
Coarse sea salt for the rim
Lime wheels for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare your glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping them into a small plate of coarse sea salt.
Step 2: In a high-powered blender, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and orange liqueur.
Step 3: Add the 3 cups of ice to the blender on top of the liquid ingredients.
Step 4: Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and reaches a slushy consistency, usually about 30-45 seconds.
Step 5: Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or acidity if needed by adding a dash more agave or lime juice.
Step 6: Pour the frozen mixture into your prepared, chilled glasses and garnish with a fresh lime wheel.
Notes
For a thicker drink, add more ice. For a stronger drink, increase the tequila to 5 oz. Always use fresh lime juice for the best results.
