Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Funfetti cake mix (heat-treated for safety)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip) or Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons milk (optional, for thinning)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Extra rainbow sprinkles for garnish
Dippers: Graham crackers, animal crackers, strawberries, or pretzels
Instructions
Step 1: Heat-treat the cake mix by placing it in a microwave-safe bowl and heating in 30-second intervals until it reaches 160°F to ensure it is safe to eat raw.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy using a hand mixer.
Step 3: Gradually add the heat-treated funfetti cake mix and powdered sugar to the cream cheese, beating on low until well combined.
Step 4: Gently fold in the whipped topping with a spatula until the mixture is light and fluffy. Do not overmix or it will lose its volume.
Step 5: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, top with extra sprinkles, and serve immediately with your favorite dippers or chill for 30 minutes for better flavor.
Notes
Always ensure you heat-treat the flour/cake mix for safety. For a thinner dip, add milk one tablespoon at a time.
