Ingredients
1 pound whole carrots, peeled and sliced
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Place the sliced carrots in a large skillet and cover with about an inch of water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 2: Simmer the carrots for 5-8 minutes until they are crisp-tender. Drain the water thoroughly.
Step 3: Return the skillet to the stove over medium heat. Add the butter, brown sugar, honey, salt, and pepper to the carrots.
Step 4: Cook, stirring frequently, for 3-5 minutes until the butter and sugar have melted into a thick, glossy glaze that coats the carrots evenly.
Step 5: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve your glazed carrots recipe immediately while hot.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh whole carrots rather than pre-cut baby carrots. You can also add a splash of orange juice for a citrus twist.
