Ingredients
24 chocolate sandwich cookies (crushed)
4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
32 oz cream cheese (softened)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1/2 cup cocoa powder
10 additional chocolate sandwich cookies (crushed, for dirt)
Gummy worms and rectangular biscuits for decoration
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan. Combine the 24 crushed cookies with melted butter and press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form the base of your graveyard dirt cheesecake recipe.
Step 2: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add the sour cream, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
Step 3: Add the eggs one at a time, beating on low speed just until incorporated to ensure the graveyard dirt cheesecake recipe remains dense and creamy.
Step 4: Pour the batter over the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 70-75 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.
Step 5: Cool the graveyard dirt cheesecake recipe gradually by leaving it in the oven with the door cracked for one hour, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
Step 6: Before serving, sprinkle the remaining 10 crushed cookies over the top to create the ‘dirt’ layer. Decorate with gummy worms and biscuits labeled as tombstones.
Notes
Ensure all dairy ingredients are at room temperature to achieve the smoothest texture possible.
