Ingredients
2 cups cold milk
1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
1 package (14.3 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
1 package gummy worms
Optional: Candy pumpkins or tombstone biscuits
Instructions
Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding mix for about 2 minutes until thickened.
Step 2: Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is uniform in color and texture.
Step 3: Place the chocolate sandwich cookies in a large plastic bag and crush them into crumbs using a rolling pin.
Step 4: In clear plastic or glass cups, layer 2 tablespoons of cookie crumbs at the bottom.
Step 5: Add a layer of the chocolate pudding mixture over the crumbs.
Step 6: Repeat layers of crumbs and pudding, finishing with a layer of cookie crumbs on top.
Step 7: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the parfait to set.
Step 8: Just before serving, decorate each cup with gummy worms and other festive candies.
Notes
For a firmer pudding, use slightly less milk. You can also use Greek yogurt mixed with cocoa for a healthier twist.
