Ingredients
1 cup (240g) plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
1/2 cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy, e.g., almond milk)
1 medium banana, fresh or frozen (sliced if fresh)
1 cup (150g) mixed frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for extra fiber and omega-3s)
1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
Instructions
Step 1: Begin by adding the milk to your blender. This helps the blades move smoothly.
Step 2: Next, add the Greek yogurt and the sliced banana to the blender.
Step 3: Add the mixed frozen berries to the blender. If using, add the optional chia seeds and honey or maple syrup now.
Step 4: Secure the lid and blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy, with no visible chunks of fruit. Scrape down the sides if necessary.
Step 5: Taste the Greek Yogurt Smoothie and adjust sweetness or thickness as desired. Add a splash more milk if it’s too thick, or a few more frozen berries for a thicker consistency.
Step 6: Pour your freshly made Greek Yogurt Smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
For an even thicker, colder smoothie, use frozen banana slices and frozen berries. You can also add a handful of spinach for extra nutrients; you won’t taste it!
