Ingredients
2 large ripe peaches, diced
1–2 habanero peppers, finely minced (seeded for less heat)
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon honey (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Put on a pair of gloves to protect your hands from the pepper oils.
Step 2: Finely mince the habanero peppers, removing the seeds if you prefer a milder salsa.
Step 3: Dice the peaches into small, uniform pieces and place them in a medium mixing bowl.
Step 4: Add the minced habaneros, chopped red onion, and cilantro to the bowl with the peaches.
Step 5: Drizzle the fresh lime juice and honey over the mixture and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
Step 6: Stir all ingredients together until well combined.
Step 7: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
Always wear gloves when handling habaneros. The heat level can vary significantly between peppers, so taste a small amount before adding the full quantity.
