Ingredients
3 cups cooked ham, cubed (approx. 1 lb)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish, drained
1/4 cup celery, finely diced
2 tablespoons red onion, finely minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Pulse the cubed ham in a food processor 5-10 times until it reaches a finely minced consistency. Do not over-process into a paste.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the minced ham, finely diced celery, and minced red onion.
Step 3: Add the mayonnaise, drained sweet pickle relish, and Dijon mustard to the bowl. Stir until the ham is evenly coated.
Step 4: Season with black pepper and add fresh parsley if using. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, though extra salt is usually not required.
Step 5: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30-60 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
For the best results, use a bone-in smoked ham. If you don’t have a food processor, you can finely dice the ham by hand.
