Ingredients
1 pound (16 oz) pretzels (twists or nuggets)
3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 package (1 oz) dry ranch dressing mix
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dill weed, lemon pepper, and ranch dressing mix until smooth.
Step 3: Place the pretzels in a very large mixing bowl and pour the oil and spice mixture over them.
Step 4: Toss the pretzels thoroughly using a spatula or your hands until every pretzel is evenly coated with the spices.
Step 5: Spread the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 6: Bake for 45 to 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even drying and to prevent the spices from burning on the bottom.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and allow the pretzels to cool completely on the pan. They will become crunchier as they cool.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks. For extra heat, increase the cayenne pepper to 1.5 teaspoons.
