The Ultimate Refreshing Hugo Spritz

  • Total Time: PT5M
  • Yield: 1 cocktail 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 ounce Elderflower liqueur (such as St-Germain)
4 ounces Chilled Prosecco (Brut)
1 ounce Sparkling water or Club Soda
2–3 Fresh mint sprigs
2 Thin lime wheels
Ice cubes

Instructions

Step 1: Fill a large wine glass or highball glass about 3/4 full with fresh ice cubes.
Step 2: Take the mint sprigs and gently slap them between your palms to release the aromatic oils, then tuck them into the glass.
Step 3: Add the lime wheels to the glass and pour in 1/2 ounce of elderflower liqueur.
Step 4: Top with 4 ounces of chilled Prosecco and a splash (about 1 ounce) of sparkling water.
Step 5: Stir very gently with a long spoon to combine, being careful not to dissipate the bubbles, and serve immediately.

Notes

Always use chilled ingredients to ensure the cocktail stays refreshing without needing too much ice melt.
