Ingredients
1 (6 oz) package flavored gelatin (e.g., cherry, lime, orange)
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold vodka (chilled)
Instructions
Step 1: Bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan or microwave.
Step 2: In a heatproof bowl, empty the contents of the gelatin packet. Pour the boiling water over the gelatin powder and whisk continuously for at least 2 minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved and no granules remain.
Step 3: Add 1 cup of cold, chilled vodka to the dissolved gelatin mixture. Whisk gently until fully combined.
Step 4: Arrange 24 (1 oz) plastic shot cups or silicone molds on a baking sheet. Carefully pour the jello mixture into each cup, filling them about three-quarters of the way full.
Step 5: Transfer the baking sheet with the filled jello shots to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 2-4 hours, or preferably overnight, until the jello is completely firm and jiggly.
Step 6: Once set, you can cover them with lids (if using cups) or remove them from molds. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly!
Notes
Always ensure your alcohol is thoroughly chilled before mixing to help the jello set properly. For best results, allow them to chill overnight. Adjust alcohol content to taste, but be aware that too much alcohol can prevent the jello from setting firmly.
