Super Juicy Ground Chicken Meatballs Kids Adore!

These easy-to-make, incredibly juicy ground chicken meatballs are a family favorite, perfect for picky eaters. Packed with flavor and moisture, they’re a versatile meal solution for any night of the week.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 20-24 meatballs (4-6 servings) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs lean ground chicken (92/8 or 93/7)
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated yellow onion (about 1/2 small onion)
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: Marinara sauce, pasta, or other serving suggestions

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a large bowl, gently combine the ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, grated onion, beaten egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix, as this can lead to tough meatballs.
Step 3: Roll the mixture into 1-inch to 1.5-inch meatballs. You should yield about 20-24 meatballs. For uniform size, you can use a small cookie scoop.
Step 4: Arrange the meatballs in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring there is some space between each one.
Step 5: Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned. An internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) should be reached when a meat thermometer is inserted into the center of a meatball.
Step 6: Remove from the oven and serve hot with your favorite pasta, sauce, or as part of a meal.

Notes

For even juicier meatballs, ensure you don’t overmix the ground chicken. Gentle handling is key! These meatballs freeze beautifully for future quick meals. Let them cool completely before transferring to freezer-safe bags or containers.
