Ingredients
1 cup fresh lime juice (approx. 6–8 limes)
1 cup granulated white sugar
1 cup water (for simple syrup)
4–5 cups cold filtered water
Ice cubes
Fresh lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Make the simple syrup by combining 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2: Stir the mixture constantly until the sugar is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
Step 3: Juice your fresh limes until you have exactly 1 cup of juice, ensuring no seeds fall into the liquid.
Step 4: In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lime juice and the cooled simple syrup, stirring well to integrate.
Step 5: Add 4 to 5 cups of cold filtered water depending on your preferred strength, stir, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving over ice.
Notes
For a sparkling version, replace the cold water with club soda or sparkling mineral water just before serving.
