Ingredients
8 slices of soft white bread
1/2 cup Nutella (hazelnut cocoa spread)
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons whole milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
Step 1: Cut the crusts off each slice of bread using a sharp knife.
Step 2: Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread until it is thin and pliable.
Step 3: Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of Nutella on one end of each bread slice.
Step 4: Roll each slice up tightly, starting from the end with the Nutella.
Step 5: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
Step 6: In a separate small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
Step 7: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 8: Dip each bread roll into the egg mixture, ensuring it is coated on all sides but not soaked through.
Step 9: Place the rolls in the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2 minutes per side.
Step 10: Immediately remove the hot rolls from the pan and toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
Notes
Ensure the bread is fresh for easier rolling. Do not over-soak the bread in the egg mixture to avoid sogginess.
