Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives, drained
1/2 cup pimento-stuffed green olives, drained
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth and fluffy.
Step 2: Place the Kalamata and green olives in a food processor and pulse 5-7 times until they are finely chopped but not pureed.
Step 3: Fold the chopped olives, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, black pepper, and lemon juice into the cream cheese mixture until well combined. This is the core of your olive dip recipe.
Step 4: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Step 5: Serve chilled with your favorite crackers, pita bread, or fresh vegetable crudités.
Notes
For a thinner consistency, add a tablespoon of olive brine. For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes.
