Classic Summer Peach Sangria

A delightful and refreshing peach sangria recipe, perfect for summer gatherings. Made with fresh peaches, white wine, brandy, and a touch of sparkling water, it’s a vibrant and easy-to-make cocktail that’s sure to impress.

  • Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

3 ripe peaches, washed (2 sliced for sangria, 1 thinly sliced for garnish)
1/4 cup granulated sugar (or more, to taste)
1/4 cup brandy or peach schnapps (optional, but recommended)
1 large orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh strawberries, halved or quartered
1 (750ml) bottle dry white wine (e.g., Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc) or rosé, chilled
1 cup sparkling water or club soda, chilled
Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Ice, for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Wash and slice two of the peaches into wedges or cubes. Thinly slice the third peach for garnish and set aside. Thinly slice the orange and lemon. Halve large strawberries.
Step 2: In a large pitcher or punch bowl (at least 2-quart capacity), combine the sliced peaches (from Step 1, excluding garnish), sugar, and brandy (if using). Gently stir or muddle to combine. Allow to sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes to macerate.
Step 3: Add the sliced oranges, lemons, and strawberries to the pitcher with the macerated peaches. Pour in the chilled white wine. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
Step 4: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight, allowing the flavors to meld and deepen. This chilling period is key for a fantastic peach sangria recipe.
Step 5: Just before serving, remove the pitcher from the refrigerator and add the chilled sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently.
Step 6: Fill individual glasses with ice. Ladle the peach sangria into each glass, ensuring a good mix of fruit. Garnish with the reserved thin peach slices and a sprig of fresh mint, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the best flavor, make sure your peaches are ripe and sweet. The maceration step is crucial for infusing the sangria with deep peach flavor. Feel free to adjust the sugar content to your preference. If you don’t have brandy, peach schnapps or a splash of orange liqueur like Cointreau can also be used.
