Ingredients
4 cups 100% red grape juice (chilled)
1 cup orange juice
2 cups sparkling water or ginger ale
1 large orange, thinly sliced into rounds
1 lemon, thinly sliced into rounds
1 cup frozen red grapes
1 apple, cored and chopped
Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Optional: 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
Instructions
Step 1: In a large glass pitcher, add the sliced oranges, lemons, and chopped apples. If using pomegranate seeds, add them now.
Step 2: Pour the red grape juice and orange juice over the fruit in the red grape mocktail sangria style pitcher.
Step 3: Stir the mixture gently to combine the flavors.
Step 4: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (up to 6 hours) to allow the fruit flavors to infuse into the juice.
Step 5: Just before serving, add the frozen red grapes to the pitcher to act as edible ice cubes.
Step 6: Slowly pour in the sparkling water or ginger ale and give it one final, gentle stir.
Step 7: Pour the red grape mocktail sangria style pitcher into glasses, ensuring each glass gets some of the fruit, and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
Notes
For a less sweet version, use plain club soda. For a sweeter version, use ginger ale or lemon-lime soda.
