Rudolph Roast Beef Sliders arranged on a platter, decorated with pretzel antlers, olive eyes, and a bright red pepper nose, with festive holiday decor in the background.

Rudolph Roast Beef Sliders

A festive, easy-to-make roast beef slider recipe designed to look like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, perfect for holiday gatherings. Sweet Hawaiian rolls are layered with tender roast beef and melty provolone, then brushed with a savory butter glaze and decorated with pretzel antlers, olive eyes, and roasted red pepper noses.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 (12-count) package King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
8 slices provolone cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
12 mini pretzel twists (for antlers), broken in half
24 black olive slices (for eyes)
1–2 roasted red pepper strips (for noses), cut into small circles

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Carefully slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls horizontally using a large serrated knife, keeping the top and bottom halves intact.
Step 2: Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish. Layer the roast beef evenly over the bottom rolls, folding if necessary. Top the roast beef with the provolone cheese slices, ensuring good coverage.
Step 3: Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese and roast beef layers. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
Step 4: Evenly pour the butter mixture over the top of the assembled sliders. Brush gently to ensure every roll is coated. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Step 5: Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted. While baking, prepare your Rudolph decorations.
Step 6: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Carefully separate the sliders. Garnish each slider with two pretzel antler halves, two olive slices for eyes, and one roasted red pepper circle for Rudolph’s nose. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These sliders are best served warm, straight from the oven. If preparing ahead, you can assemble them and refrigerate, then bake just before serving. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days, though they are best fresh. The decoration process is a fun activity for kids!
