Ingredients
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
Step 1: Place the chicken breasts in an even layer at the bottom of your slow cooker.
Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and oregano, then sprinkle evenly over the chicken.
Step 3: Pour the chicken broth into the slow cooker, pouring it around the edges of the chicken so the seasoning stays on the meat.
Step 4: Cover and cook on ‘Low’ for 4 to 6 hours or on ‘High’ for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken reaches 165°F.
Step 5: Remove the chicken to a large bowl and shred using two forks or a hand mixer on low speed.
Step 6: Add a splash of the remaining cooking liquid from the slow cooker to the shredded meat to keep it moist.
Notes
Always use the ‘Low’ setting on your slow cooker for the most tender results.
