Ingredients
2 oz Sotol (100% Dasylirion)
1 oz Fresh lime juice
0.75 oz Hibiscus simple syrup
2 dashes Orange bitters
Smoked sea salt for the rim
Fresh lime wheel for garnish
Ice cubes
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare your glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into a small plate of smoked sea salt.
Step 2: Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous handful of ice cubes to ensure maximum chill.
Step 3: Add the 2 oz of Sotol, fresh lime juice, hibiscus syrup, and orange bitters into the shaker.
Step 4: Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
Step 5: Double strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into your prepared rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Step 6: Garnish with a fresh lime wheel and enjoy the complex flavors of your Sotol Cocktail Recipes.
Notes
If you cannot find hibiscus syrup, agave nectar is a great substitute, though you will lose the vibrant red color.
