Homemade Strawberry Cold Foam

Unlock barista secrets with this easy, luscious homemade strawberry cold foam recipe! Perfect for topping iced coffee, lattes, tea, or desserts, it brings a vibrant, fruity twist to your favorite beverages. Made with fresh strawberries and heavy cream, it’s a creamy, dreamy indulgence.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup fresh or thawed frozen strawberries, hulled
1–2 tablespoons maple syrup, honey, or granulated sugar (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 cup very cold heavy cream (whipping cream)

Instructions

Step 1: Wash and hull the strawberries. If using frozen, ensure they are fully thawed and excess liquid is drained. Place strawberries in a small blender or food processor.
Step 2: Add 1-2 tablespoons of your chosen sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or granulated sugar) and the optional vanilla extract to the blender with the strawberries. Blend until a smooth puree forms. If desired, strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds for a smoother foam.
Step 3: Pour the very cold heavy cream into a chilled mixing bowl. Add the prepared strawberry puree to the cream.
Step 4: Using an electric hand mixer, stand mixer with a whisk attachment, or a milk frother, whip the mixture on medium-high speed. Whip until it becomes thick, frothy, and holds soft peaks. Be careful not to over-whip into stiff whipped cream; you want it airy but still pourable.
Step 5: Taste the strawberry cold foam and adjust sweetness or strawberry flavor by adding a little more sweetener or puree, if necessary, and gently whisking to combine.
Step 6: Serve immediately over your favorite iced coffee, latte, cold brew, or iced tea. Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice if desired. Enjoy your homemade strawberry cold foam!

Notes

For the best results, ensure all your ingredients, especially the heavy cream, are very cold. Chilling your mixing bowl and whisk can also aid in achieving a superior, stable foam. If you prefer a richer strawberry flavor, you can slightly simmer the strawberries with the sweetener for 5 minutes before pureeing to intensify their taste.
