tiger sauce recipe - A small bowl of creamy tiger sauce surrounded by roast beef slices

Homemade Tiger Sauce

A creamy, spicy, and slightly sweet condiment featuring horseradish and mayonnaise, perfect for beef and seafood.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cup 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup high-quality mayonnaise
1/4 cup prepared horseradish (not sauce)
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Dash of hot sauce (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and prepared horseradish until well combined.
Step 2: Add the honey, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder to the mixture, stirring until the honey is fully incorporated.
Step 3: Stir in the lemon juice and optional hot sauce to add acidity and a bit more heat.
Step 4: Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Step 5: Transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add an extra tablespoon of horseradish. If you prefer it sweeter, increase the honey slightly.
