4 tilapia fillets (6 oz each)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 fresh lemon (juiced and zested)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
Step 2: Season both sides of the fillets with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Step 3: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4: Add fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and opaque.
Step 5: Add the remaining butter, minced garlic, and lemon zest to the pan during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
Step 6: Baste the fish with the melting garlic butter.
Step 7: Remove from heat, drizzle with fresh lemon juice, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Ensure the pan is hot before adding the fish to get a nice crust. Do not crowd the pan.
