tombstone marshmallow pops recipe - A tray of gray tombstone marshmallow pops with R.I.P. written on them.

Tombstone Marshmallow Pops

Spooky and easy-to-make marshmallow pops decorated like tombstones, perfect for your Halloween dessert table.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 pops 1x

Ingredients

Scale

12 Jumbo Marshmallows
12 Lollipop sticks
1 bag Gray candy melts
1 Black edible ink marker or black decorating gel
1/4 cup Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (optional, for ‘dirt’)

Instructions

Step 1: Gently flatten the marshmallows with your fingers to create a rectangular tombstone shape.
Step 2: Melt a small amount of gray candy melts. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melt and insert it halfway into the bottom of a marshmallow.
Step 3: Melt the remaining candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
Step 4: Dip each marshmallow into the melted candy, coating it completely. Tap off the excess and place upright in a styrofoam block to set.
Step 5: Once the coating is firm, use an edible marker or black gel to write ‘R.I.P.’ and draw cracks on each tombstone.

Notes

If the candy melts are too thick, add a teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening to thin it out.
