Ingredients
2 cans (5 oz each) solid white albacore tuna in water, drained
1/2 cup high-quality mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 cup celery, finely diced
1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Drain the tuna thoroughly using a fine-mesh sieve, pressing down to remove all excess water.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, flake the tuna with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency, leaving some chunks for texture.
Step 3: Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, diced celery, red onion, and fresh dill to the bowl.
Step 4: Gently fold the ingredients together until the tuna is evenly coated with the dressing.
Step 5: Season with black pepper and salt to taste. Mix once more.
Step 6: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
For the best results, use tuna packed in water to keep the flavors clean. If you like extra crunch, add diced water chestnuts or pickles.
