Ingredients
1.5 cups frozen pineapple chunks
0.5 cup full-fat coconut cream (chilled, thick part from a can of coconut milk)
0.5 cup pineapple juice (unsweetened)
0.25 cup water or coconut water (optional, for desired consistency)
2–3 ice cubes (optional, if extra coldness is desired)
Pineapple wedges for garnish
Maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Add the frozen pineapple chunks, coconut cream, and pineapple juice to a high-speed blender.
Step 2: If you prefer a thinner consistency, add 1/4 cup of water or coconut water. For an extra icy drink, add 2-3 ice cubes.
Step 3: Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, without any lumps. You might need to pause and scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula to ensure everything is incorporated.
Step 4: Pour the virgin pina colada recipe into chilled glasses.
Step 5: Garnish each glass with a fresh pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious virgin pina colada recipe!
Notes
For an extra creamy texture, ensure your coconut cream is well-chilled. If you don’t have coconut cream, use the thick part from a can of full-fat coconut milk that has been refrigerated overnight. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding a teaspoon of maple syrup or agave nectar if desired.
